GAA for Dads & Lads’ is a social hurling and football programme for those keen to enjoy Gaelic Games outside the traditional competitive structures of the GAA.
With an emphasis on the social interaction and enjoyment that only team sports can provide, GAA for Dads & Lads is about keeping fun and participation to the fore of hurling/ football regardless of age or experience. The games allow incidental contact only (to minimise risk of injury) so skills are to the fore over physicality. So regardless of whether you are a recently retired great, a lapsed player looking to reconnect with the game you once loved, or completely new to Gaelic Games and looking to try your hand at a bit of hurling or football, ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ could be for you.
If you are interested in taking part in Social Hurling or Football please contact Denis McCarthy for details: 087 244 8723

National Draw 2023
Only €10 to enter both draws
This year the fund raising from the GAA draw is equally important as we try to maximise current facilities for use by all teams. We already see the benefit of previous fundraising with our excellent new all-weather training facility opening to our teams this week. All monies raised will stay within the club and go towards the cost of this facility, extra off-site winter training facilities and coaching.
To be entered in the Bonus draw please buy your GAA national draw ticket during November. (less than 2 weeks left)
If you have bought tickets from your teams lead mentor please return ASAP, or if you you want to buy tickets you can do so on line : https://fingallians.com/products/9550/purchases/new

Saturday night saw one of the biggest crowds at Fingallians in years as the Junior/Minor Ladies Footballers hosted Fingallians first Lip Sync Battle fundraiser event.
The crowd saw 8 acts perform live on stage for the chance to win the Fins Lip Sync Trophy and prize money.
Huge thanks to our three judges, the fabulously turned out Brendan McGrath aka Louis Walsh, the always gorgeous Eunice Foley looking the spitting image of Nicole Scherzinger and a very cool Colin ‘Cowell’ Foley as Simon, who gave our acts encouraging feedback throughout the show!
Thanks to our wonderful MC for the night Claire Thornton who with her humour and fun kept the crowd entertained and kept the acts in check..no one was getting on stage without a quip from Claire!
Thanks to our organising committee and to everyone who helped on the night, on the door, selling tickets and votes and to our stage hands who ensured everything ran smoothly. A Massive thank you to our acts sponsors; The Galway Bay Brewery, Michael Barrie Menswear, Bainne Bó, Rouge Hair and Beauty, Gibneys Malahide, The Ploughman, Councillor Brigid Manton. Thanks also to everyone who sponsored and donated prizes for the raffle. Thank you to DJ Dave Cleary for keeping the party going after the battle and to Lauren from Retig Productions for her fantastic video of the acts at the end of the night.
Finally the night would not have been possible without the bravery of the 8 acts who graced the stage to perform! On behalf of the Junior Ladies teams our sincere thank you to all of you and congratulations to Ben ‘Eminem’ Stears who was a worthy winner on the night!

Go Games
Even as head towards December great to still see so many children actively enjoying our games. What a busy morning in Balheary last Saturday. Like most Saturdays Balheary was again thronged with so many Juvenile teams. In the first two hours we had 24 teams on the pitches. Fins had 6 U9 teams v 6 Kilmacud teams and our 6 U/10s v 6 Castleknock teams. Well done all involved. Later on our U/11 girls filled the pitches when they took on St Finians with another great display of skills.
