In conjunction with the Race Night our Senior Ladies were delighted to relaunch their Sponsorship deal with Swords Express. Sinéad Kavanagh, Managing Director of Swords Express took time out to come and chat with the girls and wished them good luck in the coming season. Sinéad also supported the teams main fund raiser by being the Race Nights main sponsor. We would like to sincerely thank Swords Express for continuing to support our Senior Ladies and encourage all our members to continue to support Swords Express.

Fingallians Ladies Football Race Night
What a super night was had by all at last Saturdays Race Night. The team put in a huge effort to make the night very enjoyable and also an amazing fund raiser. The Ladies Section would like to thank all those who helped out on the night. A special thanks to Derek McKittrick who did a superb job, as usual, as MC, Claire and Staff for wonderful bar service. They would also like to extend their appreciation to those who supported them through sponsorship and or the donation of raffle prizes.

Well done to all who took part in the Hurling coaching workshop on "Team Tactics & Creativity" delivered by Shane O'Brien, last Monday. The Fingallians Senior Hurlers were being coached during the session.
Adult Games
A good win for our Senior footballers last week away v St Annes with our 1st Junior team also enjoying a win while our second Junior team played out an exciting draw v St Peregrines.

Tomorrow night sees our Senior Ladies Footballers start their league campaign at home v Na Fianna while on Saturday evening our Senior Hurlers will be trying to continue their winning run in the league at home v Commercials at 6pm on Saturday evening on the main pitch.

Great performance and win against O'Dwyers team in Bremore Park on Tuesday evening. After a very tight first half the Fins girls pulled away with some excellently worked scores. Final Score: O'Dwyers 2-03 Fingallians 8-16. Well done all involved.

Dublin Schools U16 Final
Congratulations to the Fingallians boys who played in the Dublin Schools U16 Final which saw Gaelcholaiste Reachrann come out winners 4-15 to 4-08 against Blackrock College. Shane Nolan
Better late than never Shane was presented over the weekend with his well earned Junior A 2019 Hurling Winners medal to add to his 2021 Intermediate Winners Medal and of course his Tipperary Senior Hurling championship medal won with his native Loughmore Castleiney in 2013. Over the last number of years Shane has made a huge contribution to hurling across the club having originally coached the adult team before joining as a player and also helping with coaching of many of our juvenile teams. Well done Shane & hopefully more medals to follow!

Cultúr Club
Our Cultúr Club will visit the Pearse Museum in Rathfarnham on Saturday 9th April. Meeting at the Museum front door at 4pm, there will be a free-of-charge bilingual tour that will be followed by tea/coffee in the café. If anyone requires a lift or further info contact Liam at 086 3814422.
Grúpa Comhrá
Our Grúpa Comhrá (Irish conversation group) meets every Wednesday at 9pm. Currently we are meeting online. This is a great free service provided by Fingallians for anyone that would like to improve/practice their Irish and is suitable for all levels. Bain triail as / Try it out. Contact Liam-086 3814422.
Golf Society
Last Friday the 1st April saw the return of Fingallians Golf Society for another year. This year we kicked off the campaign on the links course on the Donabate coastline, Corballis Golf Club. For the first outing we saw a great turnout of 36 members. The winners were as follows:
1st Place - Charlie Rogan with 39 points (15)
2nd Place - Eoin O'Shaughnessy with 37 points (20)
3rd Place - Paul Tyrell with 37 points (9)
This outing also brought with it the golf society's new tops which were sponsored very kindly by Halpenny Golf and MD Sports. Everyone in the golf society is very thankful for their generosity and the marvellous gear they provided.

Volunteers Required - Energy Efficiency Program
Volunteers required to lead the Clubs energy efficiency program to implement strategies that will reduce annual utility costs and reduce the clubs carbon footprint. Louth Footballers Visit the Club
Congratulation to Louth Footballers last Saturday on becoming the National Football League Div 3 Champions. We were delighted to welcome them to the club for light refreshments before the game.

Child Safeguarding 1 Course - a minimum for all volunteers interacting with U18's
All Safeguarding certificates 1, 2 and 3, are valid for a maximum of three years.
Safeguarding in person courses, which were paused due to COVID will resume soon. We will update as soon as available. There is currently an on-line Safe Guarding Course 1 coming up in the month of March through Sport Ireland. Email: Sports@Fingal.ie for registration & payment details
