Please support our teams by supporting the club lotto !!!

Hope you all had a very enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend and despite a quieter weekend for some of our Juvenile section there were still plenty of matches to be enjoyed for lots of our adult & juvenile teams. We would like to thank you all who came out in big numbers to support our teams.

Halloween Hurling Cup
With the mid-term this week another Hurling Cup was held for our U/12 - U/16 boys. This time it was the Halloween Hurling Cup with 70 boys in attendance. This made for a super day with great skills on display.  Congrats to this weeks winners captained by Dan King.

Ruby's & Fingallians Partnership

Last Friday night the club was delighted to launch our Adult Hurlers' partnership with Rubys. We were joined at the club by a large contingent of our hurlers and were very happy to welcome Rob Keegan Managing Director of Rubys who also oversaw a coaching session conducted by some of our players with some of our younger future stars. On behalf of the club our captain Ian Kennedy and Vice Chairman Carl Jones were delighted to present Rob with a framed jersey and Rob also wished the lads the best of luck in the semi final this weekend. An enjoyable evening was had by all.

Match Results & Fixtures

Our Adult footballers had a great win on Saturday over our neighbours Fingal Ravens to guarantee senior status for 2022.  Fingallians 1-09 Fingal Ravens 0-9.
Well done to all involved on this vital win.

Cock Tavern Sponsors of our Senior Mens Footballers

Unfortunately our Ladies team were not as successful, losing out to Thomas Davis which now sees them at Intermediate status for next season.  We're in no doubt they will all regroup and get back to the top table next year.

It was also a big weekend for our Minor Hurlers who were both successful in their respective championship quarter finals. Our A team were at home to O'Tooles winning 2-18 to 0-10. While our B team had another comprehensive win in Balheary against Raheny with a scoreline of 5-11 to 0-13.  Congratulations to all involved.

Speedy Recoveries

We wish our U/15 Aaron Gargan and Minor Ben Stears speedy recoveries following injuries suffered on the field this week. It was also great to see Kieran Duff back on the sidelines supporting the footballers in the Naul last Saturday after recent knee surgery.

It's Halloween dress-up time in the Nursery & Academy this Saturday.  Looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up and hopefully we can still recognise all our little stars!

Community Enhancement Programme 2021

In recent months, we have successfully received a very generous grant from the Fingal Community Development Committee, Fingal County Council and Department of Rural and Community Development in relation to the Community Enhancement Programme 2021. This grant gave the club a much-needed boost as we fully re-open our facilities to all the community. The grant helped with everything from training equipment to the development of our facilities. Funding such as this is vital to maintaining the important role we play in the community of Swords and keeps our gates open to any new or existing members who wish to be part of our club. We would like to thank and acknowledge these organisations for accepting our application and their generous grant.
