Usually at this time of year we would have our Easter Camps in full swing. Our camps could see numbers of up 250 kids and never sure what the weather would bring. (Typical this week the sun is shining) But you could be sure that the kids would have a mighty time and look forward to joining us again for our Summer Camps.
We know our mentors are doing their best to stay in touch with all the kids via zoom. All are giving out good advice on how to practice their skills so they will be fit and ready for when we return to games. We would like to thank you one and all and keep up the good work.
We would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter and Stay Safe.

Back to Play
We are happy to announce that from 26th April our teams up as far as minor will be getting back to outdoor non-contact training. Hopefully onwards and upwards from there.
It also looks like we can look forward to watching the Dubs in action again soon as inter-county training is set to resume on April 19th.
But in the meantime, we have been asked by the County Board to remind people that our GAA club grounds must stay closed.

The Clubs History
Dave McKittrick giving us some more history of our Club with these fantastic photos of over 100 years old.
Easter time has a special significance for the GAA dating back to 1916 remembering many of its members who took part in the Easter Rising.
In the Fingal area of Dublin during this time many GAA clubs played a major part in Irish Society. The two pictures below feature men from the club who donned the red jersey with pride in the early years of our foundation. Some then went on to fight in the Easter Rising and the War of Independence.
Listed below are Frank and Edward Lawless after whom the club grounds are named to this day. Peadar O'Ceallaigh would go on to be a leading member of the club from player, mentor and most importantly as club Chairman which he held up opposed for 39 years. Other family names which were involved with the formation of the club are still playing pivotal roles today: C Moran, C Nugent, E Stafford, J Taylor, JP McGuire.
To mark the centenary celebrations of 1916 the club held a plaque unveiling event to commemorate all those who gave their services to Irish Freedom throughout the years. The event was attended by family members of those men associated with that time. The plaque can be viewed on the front of our clubhouse.
