An All-Ireland Hurling Championship winner in 2018 with Limerick, when he was vice-captain of the team, Paul played at midfield for much of his 11 seasons playing inter-county. He is currently a Games Development Administrator (GDA) with Limerick GAA, and is head coach of the Limerick academy, responsible for overseeing the coaching of the county’s U14, U16, minor and u20 squads. He still plays senior hurling with his club Bruff, and is an experienced coach at all ages from juvenile to adult with his club.
In this webinar, Paul will give an introduction to the practical use of a Games Based Approach to coaching. He will describe how to make use of GBA in coaching at all ages from young juveniles to adults, his own experiences in being coached and coaching with it, how to identify coaching problems and games to address them, and making use of ideas from other sports. This will be a very interactive session, with plenty of opportunities to have questions answered and go through real-world coaching scenarios.
The webinar is suitable for all of our club coaches, regardless of age or code coached.
