Barry is a hugely experienced GAA coach and coach developer, and has an MSc in Sports Coaching. As well as being a former Fingallians hurler and coach, a former GPO and development squad coach with Dublin GAA, he founded "Active Sports Coaching" (@coaching_actvie), providing coach education services through Fundamental Movement Skills and games based workshops for all kinds of sports clubs. He also lectures in Physical Education with Mary I Limerick, and is a hurling coach with Deely Sports Science.
In this webinar, Barry will show the practical use of a games based approach in coaching, with examples of how and when to use games in your practice sessions. He'll outline how to identify, use and progress games to improve players skills, decision making and game awareness.
