19/08/2020 An Update from Fingallians GAA

Following a tough few days for all in Fins and more bad news delivered by the government this week, we have a positive update.

Thankfully testing to date has given a clean bill of health.

We now can plan for a resumption of training and games from next Monday 24 Aug.

Fingallians would like to thank all for showing solidarity in the face of a very difficult request to pause our games. 

As we have seen in recent days, there is a resurgence of the virus in all communities.

We have taken all possible precautions since our return to games to ensure that playing sport in the open in a controlled way is safe. Recording positive COVID during club activities reflects what is happening in the wider community and indeed the outcome of testing on linked persons shows that outdoors activities are possible in a safe way.

We ask all do what is asked of us to ensure that we once again defeat COVID.

If we all take the necessary measures, we will succeed

Wear your mask, wash your hands, be safe and let’s enjoy every game and training session again next week.

PS. Adult games will proceed as planned.
