First weekend back- We had a hugely successful weekend of games to mark our return to competitive action. In a weekend of firsts, we had a 3rd Ladies Adult team competing for the first time and a first all-ticket affair for the Hurling Championship due to COVID restrictions. Thanks to huge efforts by all involved, the weekend ran very smoothly and we bagged some victories including a first ever hurling championship win against Naomh Mearnóg. Full results and fixtures are available on Clubzap and Social Media.

Covid 19- The amount of €660 raised from donations towards tickets at recent games will go to help affray the costs of implementing COVID safety measures which to date have cost approx. €8K. Included are team sanitation kits, signage, sanitizer stations (internal & external) and safety screening in the bar and hall. Our regular forms of income have been non-existent since March. We thank members and friends for their continued support.

Senior Football Championship- There will be an all-ticket arrangement for the Men’s Football Championship v St. Peregrine’s (away) on Saturday 25th at 18:30. On this occasion, the county board have issued Fins with 90 tickets for players and supporters. Please apply for tickets in the form below. Applications close on Wednesday 22nd at 3pm.

Condolences- We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of John Gallagher; the family of Gerard Deasy; the family of Margaret Nolan (mother of hurlers Shane & Paddy) and the Brophy family on the tragic loss of brothers Philip and Fergus. A Mhuire, banríon na nGael, guigh ar a n-anamacha.

Fingallians Gym- As we all are aware, the Club’s Gym has been closed since March due to COVID restrictions and is not allowed to open until further notice from Croke Park. Due to this uncertainty Noel, Meredith and Alan will relocate to alternative premises where they can resume business. The Club would like to wish them the very best of luck in the new facility and thank them for their professionalism during their time at Fingallians.

Fingallians on tour- If going on holiday, pack your jersey and send a snap to fingallians@gmail.com We will endeavour to include on our social media. Stay in Ireland, stay safe.

Siopa an Chlub- The Club Shop will reopen on Thursday this week with time to be confirmed.

Support local business- Fingallians GAA, like so many clubs across the country, rely on the support of local business throughout the year. The last few months have been extremely difficult for businesses in Swords. As companies re-open we encourage our members and friends to shop local and help get Swords going again.
