All Star 2015: Congratulations to Sinead Finnegan on winning a Ladies All Star on Saturday evening on the half back line. This is deserved recognition for her brilliant & consistent top level performances for Dublin all year in both League & Championship.
AGM: This Thursday (19th Nov) in the main hall the annual general meeting will take place. The start time will be 9pm sharp. This week prior to the AGM the following information will be available in the club and sent via email – Minutes 2014, Motions, Nominations & Secretary report.
Minor Hurling Championship Update: Our Minor Stars beat Oliver Plunketts in the quarter finals on Sunday morning 1.15 to 2.6. They now advance to the semi final v Ballinteer St John (details on the date, time & venue to follow)
Football Update: Our three adult teams recorded league victories to keep promotion alive. Our Division 3 team now advance to the promotion play offs with our Division 6 & 11 teams now in the play-off finals. All these games are currently scheduled to take place this weekend. Ireland V Australia: This Saturday (21st November) at 7pm, Croke Park. Tickets are available on www.gaa.ie/tickets Adults €25 and Under 16’s €5. (any early birds to Croker can watch Shinty international between Ireland v Scotland at 4.35pm.
Club Shop Update: The last date for Xmas orders will be 30th November and the last trading day for the shop will be 12th December. (opening hours 10 – 12pm each Saturday morning)
Irish Group: The clubs Irish language group meets each Wednesday at 9pm in the club bar. New participants are sought. Fáilte mór to all, regardless of standard.
Winter Gym Hours: The new opening times for the club gym are as follows: Mon – Fri 6.30 – 9.30pm, Saturday 3 – 6pm & Sunday 12.30 – 6pm.
December Social Diary: The end of season awards night will be held in the club on Saturday 5th December – Tickets €15. Members Appreciation Evening will be held on Sunday 20th December. (further info on both events to follow)
Leinster Football Championship 2016: It was confirmed last week that Dublin's 2016 Leinster SFC quarter-final game against Laois or Wicklow will take place in Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, meaning Dublin will play a championship game outside Croke Park for the first time since 2006.
